Most of you know I love birthday, mine, friends, strangers...anyone. I love celebrating people with parties, gifts, love, and experiences. Since this last year has been interesting I decided I didn't want to do the normal birthday celebrations. Little did I know that my low key birthday would turn out to be one of the best ever!
It started with an early celebration with the Laschs, Peeters, and Velardes at CPK. They gave me a gorgeous scrapbook with our trip to Disney World.
Darrenn surprised me by taking me to Mortons. I have always wanted to go there, I love red meat. We went with our good friends, Gina and Bill Sinko. The service was amazing and the food was excellent.
When I got home he surprised me a massage therapist at the house. An amazing girl, Christina, was set up with a table, candles, and music. It was wonderful. I have the best husband ever.
On Friday Darrenn took the day off and we went shopping at Ontario Mills. That evening we went to Golden Spoon with my angel, Karen, and her family. They gave me a beautiful ivy plant shaped like a pumpkin in a carved pumpkin with pictures of Emma coming out of the plant.
On Saturday Mike and Beth gave us tickets to go see my first USC football game. It was a dream come true. We had so much fun and SC won, of course. That night we went to Dave and Busters with a group of friends (not for my bday) but fun to be with people you love.
On Sunday, my birthday, I got blessed with a great surprise at church. A group of my children's ministry team decorated all the canopies, tables, and classrooms with balloons, streamers, cupcake suckers, and tablecloths. To top it all off they had a big table covered in cupcakes. I felt so loved. The women on my team are amazing. They know me so well. I will never be able to express my gratitude for what they did. I needed that. After church we went to Disneyland with the Hedgpeths and my sister. I got a birthday button, so all the employees got to say Happy Birthday to ME! When we got home the Laschs surprised me with a cupcake bouquet from Miss Priss and we played a great game that my sister got me.
The next week I went out to lunch and breakfast with friends. I probably gained 20 pounds due to all the celebrating.
If you can't tell I had one of the best birthdays ever. I got to celebrate with the people that love me. Sometimes I play the pity party in my head. I wonder do they REALLY like me or do they just put up with me. Thank you to everyone that made my birthday so special.
I have to say I'm jealous! Not only did you have a fabulous birthday weekend, but you look gorgeous in that red top/dress(?). Glad you had such a great birthday, you deserve it.
