Do you ever look around and say, "Wow I sure am blessed!" Thats what I do each and every Sunday. I get the honor of showing up at Revolution Church and serve along side some of the most amazing people. Each week different men, women, teens, and even kids serve in our kids classes teaching kids about Jesus, loving on them, laughing with them, listening to them, and showing them how much they care about them. I know most of them do it because they truly want to make a difference in a child's heart, some of them do it because they love me and support me, and others do it because they are just crazy :).
I love standing in the back of the class and listening in on whats happening. Conversations between teacher and child, adults making relationships with each other while they hold babies, songs being sung by little voices, laughter because of crazy teachers on the mic, friends learning how to share, and kids making life changing decisions.
Words will never be able to express the gratitude I feel towards my volunteers. I will never be able to re pay them for all the hours they put into our kids ministry at Revolution. They give so much of themselves each week. Their families support them when they come to serve. I try to say thank you as much as I can but thank you will never be enough. I would love to give them a gourmet breakfast each Sunday, a day at the spa after a rough day, a housekeeper to clean their homes, a shopping spree at their favorite store, but I know that is not what any of them expect. They get their payment in hugs, words from kids that only kids could say, fun that you don't get in your normal day, and the experience of bringing kids closer to God.
I feel privileged to call these individual my team members, my volunteers, the life changers in our kids ministry. If you are a parent at Revolution take a moment to thank these amazing people. They are making differences in our kids lives.
Jenny,
You have a heart for God! The way you treat your volunteers in the childrens' ministry is a blessing to each
of them. God Bless you for all the sacrifices you make to put
together such an awesome program for the little kiddos.
